Also known as Dutch Wax, African Prints, Holland Wax, Batik & the list keeps going. No matter what you call it, the vibrant cloth originated in Indonesia with a technique called Batik. When the Dutch colonized Indonesia, in the 1800's, the Dutch Wax Method was introduced.
